For anyone thinking for one moment that it wasn't possible to be a fabulous female DJ/singer/producer by night and absolute style icon by day, Jade is here to prove you wrong. Not only does she do all of that and more, she does it in a pair of red patent leather boots???

And while it may not be in the cards for all of us to suddenly wake up as a Belgian goddess, perhaps just an ounce of her cool factor will rub off via this interview. Hi Jade, Please introduce your wonderful self.
—Hi! My name is Jade I’m currently based in NYC, but originally from Brussels, Belgium. I’m a DJ with the wonderful all-female agency Les Filles, as well as a producer and singer.
How would you describe your style in 3 words?
— feminine
— slightly risqué
— eclectic
(Although I did ask my best friend and her answer was: classy fairy rat… do with that what you will)
Who or what are your current biggest style inspirations?
— Honestly, a good chunk of my wardrobe is from my mother’s closet, so I will have to say that she is one of my biggest style inspirations! She has so many little designer gems from the 90s and early 2000s - I love repurposing them - often taking them in, playing with their length,… - and
incorporating them into my own style.
What does personal style mean to you?
— To me, personal style is just another way to express your personality, your mood, even an energy or a goal. It’s how you present yourself to the world, or sometimes more importantly to yourself.
What's on your thrift list right now?
— Always underwear. Always a pair of baggy but kind of sexy jeans everyone seems to have but me.
Who would you invite to your fantasy dinner party?
— my best friends

What's something you're really proud of right now?
— I am proud of having gotten rid of a lot of the anxiety I used to carry over not knowing what the future holds. One step at a time will take you exactly where you need to go. But anxiety will keep you stuck in place.
